Growing in God!

We had fun "growing" in our class this past week as we studied plants and gardening! We cannot believe that we only have a few more weeks until the year is over, but we are amazed at how much these sweet friends have "bloomed" this year!

We were busy learning in our centers this week. We made flowers built out of our last names to go along with the book The Tiny Seed. Our Bible focus for the week was how we can grow in God by continuing to learn more about him, so we used our hand prints and broccoli to create "growing in God" trees. We even got to plant our own seeds to watch grow! We continued to work on addition and subtraction, as well as our teen numbers. We enjoyed several different flower counting games. We also spent a lot of time on beginning sounds. We were VERY excited for some special visitors this week as well: a toad (who laid eggs the whole time she visited) and a chicken and chick! We also had fun doing some celery science!

Such good writing!

We also got to enjoy the sunshine this week in addition to our green room and indoor play time! We continued to work on our graduation songs (with graduation approaching very quickly)! We also had TWO birthdays to celebrate this week! Happy birthday to both birthday girls!

We are ready for graduation!

Bridge Class

We had a great gardening week in Bridge class as well! One of our highlights was a surprise visit from Mrs. Rose to do a fun painting class. We learned about how to create a dominant color when painting and had to do blotting when painting. We also got to learn about some additional plant facts. We read about plants that can grow in the desert and also about vegetables (and which part of the plant we eat for each vegetable). We spent time on graphing, more addition, and ending sounds. We look forward to insect week next week!

Painting with Mrs. Rose!

Such hard workers!
