Valentine's Day

We loved Valentine’s week in our class! This week we celebrated how much God loves us and how we can love each other. We hope that this is what these sweet friends remember from this week.

We also had tons of fun celebrating Valentine’s Day with our friends! We enjoyed writing letters on Valentine cards, lacing hearts, decorating hearts, counting with candy hearts, building our names with hearts, and stringing heart noodles. We also had fun decorating the bags to collect our Valentines from our friends, as well as a cute love bug craft.

Our letter of the week this week was the letter V. V is for Valentine! We enjoyed reading the books Love, Ruby Valentine and The Day It Rained Hearts. We recorded things we love, which were quite sweet and were saved for our portfolios! We hope everyone enjoyed their gifts of the fingerprint hearts and paper hearts!

We were very excited to have some special community helper visitors still come in Friday (due to last Friday's snow day). We had two nurses (Grayson's and Mollie's moms), as well as a Physician's Assistant (my other sister) come in to talk about their jobs and also help us make stethoscopes to take home! We are so appreciative of them taking the time to come.

We hope that everyone had a great time at the party! A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to help and/or brought supplies! We truly could not do it without each of you! Seeing the smiles on each face brings us so much joy. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

This week, see if your child can...

1. Say our February Bible verse ("Love one another as I have loved you.").

2. Write the numbers 8, 9, and 10.
3. Find the letter V in a book in your house.
4. Draw or build a heart, oval, square, circle, and triangle.
5. Count ten items in your house.

We cut about our name and then glued
our "broken heart" back together!

Love bugs!

We hope you loved your gift!

We love the sensory bin!
