Friends and Families!

We had a great second week in our class! We are learning each other's names and quickly becoming friends! We also welcomed Mrs. Nicole Hess to our class, who will be with us the rest of the year!

This week, we celebrated that God gave us families and friends. On Thursday, we read the book Rainbow Fish and talked about how we can be good friends by sharing. We made rainbow fish and also created friendship picture frames. We worked on the letter F sound and used our fingerprints to trace the letter. Our verse for the week was Proverbs 17:17. ("A friend loves at all times.")

On Friday, we focused on our families! We talked about who is in our families and what we like to do with our families. We also made a class graph of how many brothers and sisters we have and shared our family houses with each other. We practiced painting circles with cotton swabs and glued feathers on the letter F!

Everyone in our class is enjoying playing with their new friends and learning to be good friends to each other! We can't wait to continue our fantastic fall together!

We love playing with our new friends!

We did a great job spotting the letter F!

We love our new teacher Mrs. Nicole!

Making our friendship frames was so much fun!

Our class is filled with master chefs in our kitchen!

We are already learning to work and build together!

This sweet boy was spotting our
letter of the week all over the room!

Look how well we can already balance!

Driving the school bus is quite a thrill!

All smiles!

Instant friends!

Our friends are full of smiles!

We are great helpers when it's time to clean up!

Our First Week!

I am so blessed to be able to be the teacher of each of these precious children this year! We had a fabulous first two days of class!

As part of our first week, we celebrated how God created us all as special individuals! Our theme was All About Me, so we read the book Elmer and focused on how we are all different and all special! We also practiced our "All of Me" poem both days.

We had fun making our own Kissing Hands as well as creating hand prints and fingerprints. To practice the letter M, we also made macaroni Ms and counted yummy marshmallows!

We also enjoyed playing in our classroom, playing with our new friends outside, and exploring the Minds in Motion Room!

We cannot wait to grow and learn each week!

This sweet girl was all smiles!

Driving the school bus was quite the hit!

Already an expert at the balance beam!

Play dough sculpting was serious business in our class!

This sweet boy was such a good friend sharing his play dough!

Smiles all day!

This bright-eyed girl knows just what she wants to be!

Just taking in the new playground!

The Minds in Motion room was no problem for this strong guy!

So much focus and hard work coming from this sweet one!
