This week, we introduced the letter H. We also continued to have fun with pumpkins and other Halloween activities. We had a candy corn "theme" with many of our activities, creating candy corn letters, counting candy corn, and learning a candy corn Bible lesson. We will be moving on to November's Bible verse this coming week, but you might want to continue to practice Deuteronomy 31:6 with your child at home. The candy corn poem/lesson that we learned this week is typed for every student on the candy corn picture that they painted Friday. The Trinity is a hard concept but one that can be introduced and understood on a basic level at this age!
A HUGE thank you to EVERYONE who came to help with the party or sent in awesome treats! We are so blessed by each of you. Our party was so much fun, and we hope everyone enjoyed it. We got to eat such yummy snacks, play Halloween bingo, make a spooky glowing ghost craft, make Oreo spiders, and do a spider toss. Before the party, we even got to go trick-or-treating for a few minutes to the businesses next to us! The costumes were all adorable!
On Friday, we got back to our normal routine (as much as possible). I did finish assessments but will be sending them home this coming Thursday! Make sure to look in your child's poetry folder for another fun poem (as well as a sheet with all of our class friends' pictures on it)!
We can't wait to see everyone this coming week!
This week, see if your child can...
1. Tell you the three colors on a candy corn and what shape a candy corn is.
2. Make the letters P and H out of materials in your home.
3. Read a book about Halloween with you.
4. Reread the story of Gideon with you!
5. Go on a leaf hunt to fill their bag of leaves for Thursday!
Apparently Spider Man is good at tracing!
Working on counting as we decorated our
bags for trick-or-treating!
H is for Halloween House!
These "Buddies in a Bag" were a hit...
Another Trike-a-Thon purchase!
Trick or Treat!!
Lots of fun at the party!
We even did some fun Halloween yoga!
We love hearing from our Student of the Day!
