Snow was in the air this week in our classroom!
Our inquisitive minds are growing each week! We had fun learning about how every snowflake is unique and different... Every single one. Our secret message that we uncovered this week told us that God made each of us unique as well (just like the snowflakes).
We also had fun talking about snowmen this week! We read the books Sneezy the Snowman, Snowmen All Year, and Snow Bear! We painted our own melted snowmen as well as built snowmen out of our names! Check out our bulletin board in the hallway to see these snowmen! Most of our class was able to do this project almost completely independently!
Our letter of the week was the letter I... I is for igloos and ice! We searched for letter I as we read books and worked on our letter formation with dry erase boards. We also focused on the letters 7 and 8 and did a review of colors. We took a few minutes on Friday to assess everyone's scissor grip and cutting skills, and Mrs. Nicole and I are so impressed with their amazing work! We are learning so much!
Some of our other fun centers this week included painting ice igloos with water color paint, chipping and breaking ice with hammers and "nails", writing numbers in snow (AKA shaving cream), building play dough snowmen, counting with penguins, and building snowmen with pattern blocks.

2. Write an eight in the air and count eight objects? ("Make a snake. Go back up and make an 8.")
3. Tell me something special about how God made you?
4. Tell me something awesome about a snowflake?
