F is for Friends and Family!

We had a great second week in our class! We are learning each other's names and quickly becoming friends! Mrs. Nicole and I have had so much fun watching everyone interact and get to know one another.

This week, we celebrated that God gave us families and friends. We started practicing our August Bible verse: Proverbs 17:17 ("A friend loves at all times."). We learned about two friends in the Bible, Jonathan and David, and talked about how they looked out for and loved one another. We also read a variety of books about friends and family, including How Do Dinosaurs Stay Friends?, Best Friends, My Family, and We Are Brothers, We Are Friends.  Everyone did so well listening and responding to what we read!

To go along with letter F this week, we enjoyed making a friendly frog craft, creating fancy feathery fans, and fingerprinting the letter F. We even created our own friendship frames! We also focused on the number 2 and learning the circle shape... In our centers, we went on a number 2 search, dotted the number 2, and made circles with buttons. We are so smart! We also enjoyed stringing beads, playing with play dough, and stamping in our centers!

We enjoyed learning about each other's families with the family collages... Thank you so much for helping your sweet little ones create these! They are now hanging up in our room!

This week, see if your child can.

1. Tell you our Bible verse. (You can practice together!)
2. Make a letter F and a letter M out of objects in your house or yard.
3. Count 2 different items.
4. Find five circles in your house.
5. Tell you two ways to be a good friend!

These friends were very focused on their creations!

So much focus!
We also had our first birthday celebration this week! Happy third birthday to our sweet friend!

We even had fun with our new friends from Mrs. Laura's class next door making our friendship recipe bags!

Everyone in our class is enjoying playing with their new friends and learning to be good friends to each other! We can't wait to continue our fantastic fall together!

We are expert builders!
