Christmas is right around the
corner, and we began celebrating early in our class!
This week was filled with lots of gingerbread and Christmas fun! We had fun reading about and talking about gingerbread men this week
as we studied the letter G! We made our very own paper plate gingerbread men, counted with gingerbread men, and read several fun
books (The Gingerbread Bear and Gingerbread Man Loose in the School). We also had fun mixing our very own gingerbread man cookies to try! What a yummy snack (in addition to getting to watch our own popcorn pop thanks to one of our sweet friends bringing in their popcorn popper)!
In addition to reading the story of Jesus birth this week, we also discussed how—unlike
our cookie cutter gingerbread men—God
made us each very different and special (like no other person in the
world). Mrs. Nicole and I love being able to share with everyone in our class how much Jesus loves them... Enough to come to Earth and be born as a baby for them. We pray you will spend time celebrating that with your families this season!
As we looked at our own classroom tree this week, we also had fun talking about Christmas tree lights and Christmas decorations. Another exciting part of our week was working on our surprise “Christmas light” gift for our
grandparents. We look forward to having all of our grandparents visit us next
week!
